Inspired by samurai helmets, Kabuto is a design-forward vacuum wine saver that protects aroma and flavor by removing oxygen from an opened bottle. The valve does not pass through the device - as it typically happens - to avoid issues with disassembly in the narrow channel and preventing silicone parts from absorbing wine odors or collecting residues. Instead of a traditional through-hole, a trilobe structure acts as a filter, keeping the valve clean by blocking residue. The structure not only seals the bottle neck but also wraps around the sides, helping to protect it from airborne bacteria in places like the fridge or pantry.
